can't connect to Echo device with Mobile Me

My boyfriend bought an Echo for with his Amazon Prime account. Then he downloaded the Mobile Me app on my computer, but made a typo in my name.

Now when I try to connect to Echo with Mobile Me, the correct name I gave Amazon may be causing the block because of the incorrect app name. I can't find any way to simply change my Mobile Me account name.

Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome.

I am a little confused as MobileMe is now a defunct Apple service, which is now known as iCloud.

If I understand you, he purchased an Amazon Echo device? If so, then you are you referring to the iPhone/iPad Amazon Echo App? It would use an Amazon account login, not an iCloud/MobileMe account.

We would be happy to help with a little clarification.

Thank you Cory. We finally got Alexa talking to us and I think it's all properly working now. I connected from my phablet and it was much less complicated than working with the computer.
