Canoscan not installing

I've got mid 2011 iMac partitioned to run OS 10.6 (as well as 10.13). I've been successfully using a Canon scanner (CanoScan LiDE35) in the 10.6 partition for some time. I erased, then reinstalled the system software, 10.6, a while back. Now, even after erasing (I think) the previous Cannon driver software, then reinstalling it from the install disc, apparently successfully, I can't get the program, CanoScan Toolbox X, to run. Instead I get the error message,

Any suggestions?

Hello.

I would try uninstalling the CanonScan software, if it has an uninstaller, then download and install the version from their website for Snow Leopard: Support | Support Scanners - CanoScan Series | CanoScan LiDE 35 | Canon USA
