We have an old iPad, Model MC763LL/A, from which we need to off load photos to our iMax27 running Monterrey 12.3.1. I haven't found a way to do it and am curious if it can be done. Thanks in advance.

Have you looked in the Sidebar of a Finder window? If not, check the Finder Preferences>Sidebar. iPhones appear there now instead of in iTunes, so maybe iPads as well.

Nothing there. I have come to the conclusion that there is no compatibility between the old iPad and the newer iMac.

all this downloading has to be done in iTunes if your Mac version is older.

plug your iPad into you iMac via its usb cable open iTunes and look for the iPad in the DEVISES in the left hand side... click on it should show you all the photo files on the spa, on your iMac screen.

if it does not show up, here are some tube videos tutorial on this.

regards
Sandy
