Bento not working with El Capitan

I have used Bento 2 up until the point I had installed El Capitan. Then I found out that it was discontinued and tried the Bento 4, which did not work either (in El Capitan). So, I tried to install Snow Leopard (DVD) to maybe run Bento on it, but I did not manage to even install Snow Leopard. I really want to access my Bento database. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hello and welcome.

You may run into compatibility options, since Bento hasn't been updated/supported and discontinued since 2013.

-Where did you try to install Snow Leopard?
-Do you have a spare external hard drive that you could install Snow Leopard on and run Bento there?

Thank you for your reply! I do have a spare ext. HD and will try that. Currently, I'm using my older Mac Pro and use that in Target Disk Mode hooked up to my iMac. So, I will use one of those 4 drives to install Snow Leopard and Bento on there. Thanks again!!

No worries.

Good luck and let us know if you have additional questions and if it works out for you.
