Automatic Email Generation

Strange request, but my boss has asked me to find a way to have automator send individual emails based on the contents of a folder and the file names of those documents.

So for example, there is a folder filled with PDFs named like: 13016087_Check_Stubs_Richard_Nixon_2012081.1436.pdf

He needs all of the files to be individually emailed to the correct recipients. The recipients emails will be formatted with the last name @ the company website (where the last name is pulled from the file name - in this case Nixon).

I know this is a complicated request, but hopefully somebody can help.

Hello and welcome.

After contemplating that for a little while, it seems like a very tall order. It would probably end up as an AppleScript. My guess is it would involve a good bit of coding...especially due to the fact that it would have to "read" the filename and extract the correct piece.

Yes this could be done with an AppleScript.
