Anti Virus recommendations

Interested for recommendations for best AntiVirus / Anti malware to go for....

I have used Bitdefender, but not yet renewed...but it seems to be highest rated...?
I do have a free copy of MalwareBytes...
I'm currently trying Intego....

Curious to know what else I should consider and why...

Hello,

Personally, I use ClamXAV, but only run it manually about twice a year with the Sentry background monitor and Scan inserted disks disabled. You really don't need an antivirus application, and I do know that there are a lot of slowness and other issues with most on the market, especially when real-time scanning is enabled.

Hi,

I second Cory's comments re antivirus software, I have never run one. But I do use Malwarebytes free which is also an on demand scanner.
