My MBA is 2017 production, runs 10.15.6, 8GB ram, 500 SSD. I run a 24" Samsung monitor with a wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse, works well. QUERY: Is my MBA capable of running and additional 27" Samsung monitor or is this asking too much ?

Hi,

I believe it is possible by using multiple ports/adapters or an external Thunderbolt 3/USB-C hub.

-What type of connection is the 24" Samsung?
-How is it connected currently?
-What type of connection is the 27" Samsung?

Use external monitors with your Mac

Hi Cory,
My 24" Samsung connecting cable plugs directly into the Firewire port.
Pending Forum advice, I am yet to buy a 27" monitor, I guess it would also have Firewire input connection.

Hi,

Those ports are actually Thunderbolt 3/USB-C, not FireWire. So, I would assume you have an adapter that connects to the Samsung via a Thunderbolt 3/USB-C to VGA or HDMI adapter, correct?

You should be able to add a second display using the same type of adapter.

Hi Cory,
You're correct, my MBA has no Firewire port/s.
Thanks for your advice.
