We all know of many gadgets and apps that do not seem to work as claimed. Not so with this one. Many years ago, I made many VHS tapes of my growing family. The years passed and I was worried about the integrity of these tapes, and so for Christmas, my wife bought me a 'Elgato Video Capture'. Essentially, it is a AD converter with software to run it. I hooked it up to my MacBook Pro and digitized all of the tapes, edited them in iMovie and burned copies for the whole family with iDVD. It worked flawlessly. It is great when something works as it should.
