I recently downloaded and installed Painter 2015. Ran the installer and it said "Install Successful." I went to my applications folder expecting to see a "Corel" or "Painter" folder or app icon. None of those were there, but there was a folder called "01-Corel Painter 2015". I thought that was strange, but then it added "01-" to the folder name and was now "01-01-Corel...". This continued on and when I look now, it hasn't stopped! The app seemed to launch OK, but now there is a second folder created and it is doing the same thing. WT?

Hello and welcome.

That is a very unique issue that I haven't seen before.

I would try the following:

1. Delete all the Corel Painter Folders in your Applications folders - and follow these official Corel manual uninstall directions:

Painter 2015: How to manually remove Painter 2015 from Mac (OS) X

2. Use Applications > Utilities > Disk Utilities app to repair disk permissions
3. Restart your Mac
4. Reinstall Painter and see if the issue persists

Let us know if that corrects the issue.
