Hello friends. I have iMac mid 2011, El Capitan version 10.11.3 and iMovie version 10.1.1. Recently (probably after last update of iMovie) I have problems importing files from my video camera, Sony Handicam, HDR-Cx6. After importing process, imported video is not there, but on the screen is remark: Missing camera. Please I need some good advice. Best regards, Vilhelmut.

-Can you still use the older version of iMovie?
-That model of Sony doesn't seem to be supported with the current version of iMovie: iMovie supported cameras. Although it should, since that is just the PAL version of the HDR-CX7.
-Are you using the same connection steps that you did previously?
