Power off problem

My IPOD will not power off. All other functions appear to be working but when I tried powering off, it just pauses. Any ideas anyone?

Hello RoyceButler and Welcome!!

What iPod do you have? If it is a video iPod or a Nano- hold down the the menu and center button for about 10 seconds. You should see the apple logo appear. This resets the iPod. That may solve your problem. Let us know how this works out for you!
