Move objects with arrow keys

I would like to move an object slightly in Word for Mac, but when I select it and move it with the arrow keys, it moves too much. Is there a key combination, together with the arrow key, that makes the movement slower and allows for more detailed placement of objects?

Thanks for your reply! I've got OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 and Microsoft Word 15.18 on a 2015 MacBook Pro.

I can test it more when I have access to a Mac that has Office 2016 installed.

-Have you tried turing off snap-to objects to grid
-Hold the Command key while you drag an object
-Hold Control+Command while using the arrow keys
