I mean to write this onto and 'introduction' thread, but maybe it's ending up as a new thread. Sorry if it's in the wrong place.

I write and publish music in many styles and, by chance, have settled into composing and arranging music for those learning instruments.

I use Sibelius 7, InDesign CS4 and have recently bought LogicX pro, which I am finding difficult to learn, as almost every function has a different title than one finds on other sequencers. It's also difficult to know where they. I'll persevere.

I have a 4-year-old iMac which is running slow and refusing to recognise external hard drives. I recently bought a new iMac. This does not have an internal CD/DVD drive. I am having trouble installing my InDesign disks on it – well, more than having trouble, I can't! I've tried copying the InDesign disks onto a USB stick. The software is recognised but an error message comes as soon as I click on install (no error number). Any help greatly appreciated. I'll also copy this paragraph onto an appropriate thread,
