I've been experiencing crackling noises through the speakers, headphones, and thunderbolt when playing audio, then it dies down. It gets worse when there is activity like scrolling on a web page or even moving the mouse. It tends to go away when what ever program that played the sound is closed. If I let the crackling go on it eventually crashes the computer. AHT says 4sns/1/40000001 : vc5r1.297. I gather that it is a voltage sensor error for either the ram or the cpu. I would like to know if it is on the logic board, attached probe on the logic board, or on the power supply? Do I need a new logic board? I know apple is just going to say send it in and charge me 20 bucks just for asking, but I would like to know a little more about the problem first and the exact meaning of the code. Thanks for any help in advance. I have a mid 2011 imac 21.5 running maverics 10.9.4
