Ok - I know squat about macs. I went through the start up disk control and selected a drive (that I thought I wanted) I am not able to start up the machine at all now. I get a disk image with a flashing ?.

When I hold the option key and try to start it I get the "wrong" disc as the only option.

I actually would like to completely wipe out this computer and do a clean instal of os9 but I am not able to accesss the cd drive to place the cd in it.

Any help appreciated.

Thank you

Connie,

Insert the original installation disk and re-start your Mac while holding the C key. Your Mac will start from that disk. Once it runs, go to your System Preferences > Startup Disk and select there the correct disk. You can then re-start your Mac. It'll boot from that disk you chose.

my problem is that I do not know how to get into the cd drive (no floppy available) without the machine running.
