WMP/AVI converter

I have a lot of movie, image and data files i would love to view on my iBook. What would be the best program to download or buy that will convert these Windows Media Player and AVI. files to ones playable on the MAC?

Hi there,

well QuickTime Player on your Mac should be able to play the .avi files and if you get the flip4mac component this should allow you to play the .wmv files, in QuickTime Player...

You can also try DivX the player is a free download, give it go...

I personally didn't have much luck with DivX player, but I do use Flip4mac which is very good.

I use VLC Player to play my avi files and other media. It's great. But it sounds like you got yourself a good solution.

I can play them as they are using windows media player for mac and VLC. try these if you havn't already.
