Why can't I play on my new imac?

I have a brand new imac OS X (10.4.8) Tiger with Intel processor. But I never can view any video clips on YouTube. Clips start but after first few seconds they stop and the screen starts flashing. That's why it's called Flash Player? Bad joke on me. YouTube explaines I have to have the latest Flash Player. I have Version 7. Adobe says to install the latest version 9, I have to unistall 7 first, but they never explaine how to uninstall version 7.

Can somebody give me a tip to solve this problem? I'd really appreciate it.

Are you sure that you have to uninstall the older version to install the newer version? I updated Flash a couple of days ago and the new version replaced the old version. However, if you want to uninstall the old Flash Player Plugin it's located in /Library/Internet Plug-Ins.
