Any good free virus stuff?

My macbook pro is running really slowly for no reason I can see.

Well, ClamXav is free. However, bear in mind that the less apps you're running on your Mac, the faster it will be.

I have only safari open, with 4 tabs, and have 80MB of free memory. Before i had around 12 meg with only safari running. This doesnt seem normal to me.
