I have Quicktime and MPEG Streamclip1.7. I just don't know how to use it, please help so I can become a star on youtube.

Hi there and welcome,

I presume the file is an MPEG file, I'm afarid I don't know the camera...

If it is then as bluekatt suggests Popcorn or MacTheRipper will do what you need...

You can then bring the file into iMovie or Final Cut to do further editing if needed...

i dug up mac the ripper fiddled withits files and its able to convert things in to chapters which is much easier because the dvd's i want to rip are episodic

i also dug up ffmpegx again and it works just fine to encode a 1 gig vob down to a 256 mb avi

i suggest using mac the ripper and ffmpegx ( both are free) or the retail version of popcorn 2
