Trackpad's edges to set as an infinite cursor move

I'll explain it further, let's say you want to drag & drop a file and the distance (to drag&drop) is too long, so you'll have to put another finger (in MacOS) and start swiping until your cursor reaches the drop position, because you reach the edge of the trackpad.

On the other hand in Windows laptops (unsure if all of them have that), you can still use only one finger to hold onto the file, then start moving it in any direction, after you reach the edge of the touchpad, then you keep holding your finger on the edge to keep moving your cursor towards the edge direction at a constant speed until you reach the end of the screen.

I am ok to change stock settings or install an app, write some scripts to configure my embedded trackpad on my mac, or utilize my external trackpad on my Mac device.

This feature can is very common on a variety of Windows laptops and it can also be used to copy long texts (it even scrolls the page for you if you're vertically selecting texts.)

Please let me know if anyone has a solution for this. I feel like I'm alone in realizing this missing feature.

Hello and welcome.

You should be able to simply click and hold on the file on your trackpad with your thumb and use your forefinger to drag the file anywhere on the screen and even to another attached monitor screen. Does that now work?
