saving multiple jpegs in reduced size

hello,

I regularly have multiple jpegs that I need to reduce in size. Is there any programme, or way of saving on a mac book pro, more than 1 jpeg file in reduced size without having to save each individual file using the image quality bar?

Check out Automator, theres actions that allow you to automate this job.

Also, a few applications have "batch processes." Photoshop Elements and Graphic Converter come to mind. The way new cameras can produce humongous files, I tend to save the originals and work on reduced files after I run a batch process in Photoshop Elements.

Thanks for that I will look into automator - if I can figure out how to use it!... I think photoshop is a bit heavy and expensive for my simple needs...

Get Selected Finder Items
Convert into JPEG, its under Actions Utilities.
Copy Finder Items
