If you remember the days of the Spectrum, Atari ST, Amiga 500 etc.

You might want to check out:

http://www.macmame.org/

Here you can download one of the best emulators around.

(Obviously, from a legal point of view, the only Roms that you download of the Internet will be ones that you already own! i.e. you have the old tape, cartridge etc. in a box in the attic.)

Then have a search on Google find some roms.

or have a look here:

http://www.retrogames.com/

http://www.emuviews.com/

http://www.emulazone.com/

Quick tip: when downloading rom's they should be .zip files, do not uncompress them just drag the "outrun.zip", "tetris.zip" etc. into the rom folder and voilla !

enjoy !

Also here is the Snes emulator

Snes9x

Most people have seconds hand copies of all retro games, I know 90% of my retro games are/were pre owned because that's the only way you could buy em.

And if you had them pre owned games would that make it right to download ROMS?

I mean you bought the game.

Spent many hours playing Marathon...we used to have it on all the Macs in one of my old Studios...and they'd all play before 'hometime'...it was one of the first 'good' network games !

Shall have a look at the site later ;-)
