Problem with garageband

Hi, I have an imac running osx. It has just come out of it's warranty, and surprise surprise it's gone wrong (doesn't that always happen)

When I open garageband, and click on 'open an existing project', instead of bringing up garageband projects, it brings up a list of word documents, so there is no way to get into songs that I have been working on

Does anyone have any ideas how this can be solved?

Hello, have you tried double clicking on the GarageBand project files?

Hi, thanks for your reply. I actually found some advice on yahoo answers which I followed - I repaired the disk permissions in applications, which, touch wood, seems to have worked
