PowerMac Problem

I have a PowerMac G4 12" laptop and it will not turn on. When I plug it into the wall a orange light appears as if it were charging but it will not turn on and when I press the button on the battery none of the four lights light up. I think it may be that my battery is just completely dead but wanted to check before I bought a new one. Thank you for any help possible...

Most likely is the battery. It is possible that the DC board is bad, but not as likely. Buy a new battery especially if it is older than 1.5 years.
