not sure how to play torrents

Just down loaded bit torrent. Am seemingly able to down load the torrent but then get prompt to open them or save to disk. What application do I use to open them??? Using stock G3 with OS 10.2. Have tried media player but no love, tried to save to disk then open but opens as code. At my wits end and none to bright with computers to begin with. Any suggestions please let me know in as simple terms as possible. Thanks

Where did you download the torrent file from? You need a special bitorrent program to open the torrent file. The torrent file is very small. Then, using a bittorrent program, you open that file you download in that program to download the "actual file." Here is a list of some good programs:

Transmission
Azureus

Give one of these programs a shot. Let us know which program you go with and if you need further assistance.
