hi, was wondering if anyone knows of a connecter that link my g4 powerbook to my sky+ box. i want to upload my sky+ recordings to my mac.

Hi there and welcome,

You're going to need something like this then you connect that between the Sky plus box and the Mac...then you need some software to record the programs...

It may be cheaper to get a DVD recorder...plug that into the Sky plus video scart and then record straight to DVD...then take those DVD's and use something like MactheRipper to transfer the DVD to your Mac.

Unfortunately it's not just a 'cable' you need...

Another solution maybe something such as a Directors Cut box from Miglia. That you can link directly by scart to you Sky+ box. However like Ric I just record using the copy on Sky+ to a DVD recorder then sort out/edit on the computer. Handbrake is another good lilte application to rip down a Video TS folder to MPeg4 movie so it can be edited
