Hey there!

 PROBLEM:

I only have one account on my MacBook Pro with Mac OS X which is the administrator account and is also passworded. Embarrassingly enough, I have forgotten this password and after seeking help from telephone customer service they sent me an email telling me to insert my OS X Install CD and hold C at computer startup. I can't find my original Mac OS X Install disk ANYWHERE!!!

Is there ANY other way to recover my password or reset it???

Please help!

Hi there Vaan and welcome !

In a word 'no', you need the disk, then it is very easy.

If you have lost your disks Apple will replace them for a small cost, less than the price of a retail version of Tiger.

You could also take it to your local Apple Store and ask if they will help...they shouldn't charge you anything !

regards

Ric
