Hi,
I have a 16 month-old Macbook Pro (2.2 GHz, 2 GB, 10.4.11) that has been through 176 battery load cycles.
the battery is only charging up to an hour's worth without internet or a few minutes with airport on.
I reset the SMC by taking out the battery, pushing the power button, and then replacing the battery.
Then I calibrated the battery - let it charge fully, kept it plugged in for two hours, then unplugged and used it till it depleted fully. then the next morning I plugged it back in to charge fully.
Now, (the next morning), coconut battery says:
current battery charge: 1818 mAh
maximum battery charge: 1897 mAh
(95%)
current battery capacity: 1897 mAh
original battery capacity: 5600 mAh
(33%)
So obviously the battery is not holding charge like it did even a week ago.
What's my next step?
Thanks dudes.
