I've been running into a problem with my mac lately. Youtube doesn't run in either firefox or safari. The videos will playback for a few seconds and then freeze, then I'll get the spinning beachball of doom. Other applications that use sound sometimes freeze momentarily, such as itunes. I've noticed that during the freezing the sound icon on the top status bar turns gray, as if it's been disconnected. I can hear a very feint clicking sound during the freezing. I think the freezing on the videos and music may have something to do with my sound being disconnected. I've uninstalled and reinstalled flash player and don't seem to see a difference, I've reset safari numerous times.
