I have an iBook G4 1GHz running with Max OS X 10.3.9. I bought an iPod and in order to use it I need to upgrade to Tiger. I have borrowed install discs from a friend. When I try to boot from the disc a Kernel error appears (grey screen etc.).
The error screen contains
Kernel version "PowerBook6.3"
Darwin Kernel v 8.8.5 root:xnu-792.16.5
I did change harddrive a few years ago and have not had any problems since that. The CD opens in finder but when I push restart (in order to start installation) the error appears. When I have ejected the CD the computer starts like nothing ever were wrong.
Do anyone have a solution to this?
/Mathias
