I've been using iPhoto for years. I recently got a used Macbook Air. I copied my photo library from my old computer. It works fine. I can see and edit all my pictures. I cannot however import. At first I thought it was trouble with my camera. However, when I attach the SD card directly, it can't import either.

I can copy all the images off my card directly onto my disk. I can view them in preview and in quick look. However I cannot import them into my iphoto library, even from off of my own hard disk.

I thought it was the file format of my camera. But i checked and I cannot import any files, not jpg, not png, nothing. Nothing at all will import.

What is going on? How do I fix iPhoto? It works fine on my other computer.

Any Ideas?

Hello,
Have you tried the basics- repairing permissions, trashing the iPhoto preference file, trying a new user's account, etcetera?
