I've installed gimp.
Copied it to my applications folder.
I run it and it requests I Install the x11 package.
I boot up the cd and install it going through all the prompts.
Its installed. I also tried downloading it from the apple website. This also failed.

Gimp gives me this same error.
Any info would be great Thanks.

Hi Matthew,

Which Mac model do you have (Intel/PPC) and which version of OS X are you using? What version of Gimp are you trying to install?

On my Tiger install Disc, I find X11 here:

Mac OS X Install Disc 1>System>Installation>Packages>X11User.pkg

If you are running Tiger, then downloading X11 from Apple won't help you, this version is for Panther but for Tiger users you specifically need to install it from Tiger Install Disc.

Have you tried re-booting?

Thank you my fine fellow for your reply.
Everything you said I had tried.
A friend of mine helped me even more.
The problem was.
There are two x11 packages.
The one you said.
And another.
Those two were confused.

Thank for you help though.
Cheers.
