INFORMATION on failing 17" flat pane Studio Display

Hi All
I have a 17" LCD Studio display, The other day the power button started to flash like morse code,"2 short and 1 long" and the bottom half of the monitor was dimmed. I investigated and found that this indicated that the inverter board was failing. The cost for Apple repair about £350. I investigated further (I live in Europe)
I found this site

where I found inverter boards for sale at £44 +p&p then i went to this site http://www.macguild.org/display-repair.html
and found very clear instructions on hoe to fit the new card.
I can also get a £10 refund on sending my old card back.

I've currently got a dying laptop monitor...if only it was the inverter board ;-)
