Hello

After fixing this imac (slot loader) which had a start up problem when I got hold of it, with a PMU reset, it was working fine.

Until my son bashed away at the keyboard one day when the screen blew (lots of horizontal lines, then no power, nothing).

Any ideas? I kind of assume that the monitor has gone but why the loss of all power?

Thanks for the reply.
No good resetting the PMU again then? I put a massive hard drive in there, can I take it out and get the data onto another machine do you think?

yeah, you can probably use your HD on another machine with zero problems...:)
