Hi all. I have a 3 year old iBook G4 with a bad logic board and hard drive. I went to an Apple store and saw one of the Genius's. He told me that I can either spend $300 to "send it to the depo" and get the logic board and hard drive replaced or try and sell it and buy a new computer. He did tell me, however, that replacing the hardware will not neccessarily fix the problem and the computer may break again in the future. Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

Hi trekker, and welcome :)

If replacing the logic board and hard drive will not necessarily fix the issue, given the costs involved in the repair, then I personally would sell it for spares or repairs on somewhere like ebay and put the money to another system.

However, the decision is up to you at the end of the day :)
