I charged my MacBook in Europe and am afraid I zapped it

So I'm in Italy and I bought an adapter for my MacBook Pro charger. I plugged in the MacBook and started it up (It was on zero battery from the flight over). The screen immediately went a purpleish hue, and the screen split into thirds horizontally and started shaking. I immediately unplugged it and shut it off. Now it is charging on a normal American 110 volt outlet, but when I turn it on, the color is back to normal but it is still fuzzy, split in thirds horizontally, and the image on the screen shakes back and forth. Any way to reboot/restart/undo the damage or did I fry my MacBook? I thought that all chargers worked dual voltage 110/240V? Thanks in advance for any help.
