Hi guys, i have just got a new macbook (upgraded from ibook G4) All is great but i have 2 questions, both relating to operating temperatures:

1. The macbook when in use gets very hot in the back left corner (near power socket), is this normal?

2. When plugged in, the power pack gets almost to hot to hold, is this normal? The power pack for the g4 never gets that hot.
Cheers,
Phil

MacBooks can get pretty hot (with that much power in such a small case), but since you just got it, you might want to take it back and get it checked out. Mine can get pretty warm all along the bottom, not particularly near the powerpack or the power socket. Are the fans running? Please let us know what they say.
