My Macbook Pro doesn't seem able to detect the internet connection in Taiwan. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi qpwoeir,

I'm going to presume you are at a Wi-Fi hotspot rather than plugged in in your hotel room.

Here is a list of 3724 Wi-Fi locations in Taiwan: http://www.jiwire.com/browse-hotspot-taiwan-tw.htm

But you will notice that most of these hotspots are not free, you have to pay for an account with the hotspot provider (eg. Boingo) to be able to access them.

Hope this helps,
Steve.

Oops! I just noticed that it says 'Ethernet' in the subject line D'oh!

Ok, so you are wired in your hotel room, I suggest you check with your room service as internet accress via ethernet is often an option you have to pay a little extra for, once paid they enable the ethernet port in your room.

Steve.
