Hi. I'm completely new to macs (used to be a pc user).
I bought this previously owned mac with the final cut pro 4.5 hd production suite. I'm trying to install final cut pro and I get this error: (keep in mind I know nothing about how macs work)
"Classic cannot find a Mac OS 9 system folder on the startup disk to use.
You may need to install Mac OS 9.1 or later (Classic support) on your computer.
To select a system folder on another volume, click open Classic Preferences.
For more information about installing this support, click the Help button."
I did some researching and it seems that the previous owner erased mac ox 9 and put mac osx on the system (?). I don't have the original system cd's and I need to know how I can finish installing final cut pro. I'll be really frustrated if I have to erase my hard drive and install the old OS at the same time. I have a ton of programs installed on the computer and don't want to erase anything just to be able to install a new program.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks for your time.
