To All, asking for help...
On May 2, my old wireless router wen "TU" so I went to Amazon, and ordered a Netgear Nighthawk 7 router, recommended for 2500 sq ft, and best for Macs, and iphones. to arrive on 4 May! Another story later, bought the same router from Best Buy. Got it installed. connectivity is great, BUT, i have lost ALL THE functionality on the speaker keys F10, F11, 12! called Apple support, we did it all, down to the re-install of the OS for my M3 Mac Air.. wife has a Mac air, and I have a Mac Pro in my office, and all 3 have lost the functionality... now I have opened a case file at Netgear, only to be told that "they" do not put soft wear on computers and its an Apple issue, so before i tackle Apple again, are there any ideas out there, that may have a "SWAG" Cause for me everything pointss to netgear and wifi, which I have rebooted. but nothing changed... so I am stumped! just Bring it! I'm listening, in Gulf Breeze, FL!

Do you have the Apple Extended Keyboard, with the keypad and F keys all the way to F19? If so, you ought to have the Globe/fn below F13. For me, to control the speaker keys, I would have to press and hold the Globe key (as modifier) to trigger the speaker actions. I also don’t like the Caps lock function of the keyboard so I reassigned the Caps lock key as Globe, which I interchangeably use as a second Globe/fn key. Hope it works for you.
