Would it somehow be possible to set up the Mac so it won't start up without som kind of dongle present.. i know there's lots of software out ther that uses any kind of of thumbdriv to lock and unnlock your screen. But I want an actual system that would stop the computer even booting up without the som kind of lisensce dongle or something like that connected.

Hello and welcome.

You can setup a firmware password: Use a firmware password on your Mac. That only prevents it from starting up from an external drive however.

I have heard about some USB dongle security products, but am not familiar wth them enough to recommend any. Is their a specific security concern that you are trying to address?
