Disaster importing emails from Entourage 2004 to Outlook 2011

I installed Lion before I found it would not run Office 2004. I have 11 years of emails in Entourage 2004. I imported them to Outlook 2011. While the Sent files transferred (apparently) satisfactorily, in Outlook the Inbox files all show the same date of receipt!!!!!! This is disastrous. What can I do? (Also, the Deleted box in Entourage was empty, yet many files seem to have been transferred into the Deleted box of Outlook 2011!)
