connect mobile broadband usb to mac

I'm trying to connect a mobile broadband usb modem to my mac 10.5.

The software shows in the devices but when I try to open the start up program all I get is some machine language.

The brand is O2 and run on mac os x 10.4 or higher.

It loaded up on my wifes vio in real fast.

Having the same problem got a new ibook .when ever i use the usb moderm to pulg the hub..it shows on the desk top ...and after that dont know where to go or do again..need more than help..please asist me...
