Can AppleScript record scripts for my HP Scanner?

Thanks in advance for patience with a newbie to scripting.

I'd like Applescript (or any other scripting software that will work) to recognize my HP scanner (HP750psc to be exact) so I can automate my scanner settings. I'll be scanning lots of images, but I always want the same settings, so it would save a lot of time. There's no "batch actions" option or anything like that in my scanner software, so I'm hoping I can write a script to record the settings I choose.

Any ideas?

Hi there,

drag your HP Scanner Application onto Script Editor...this will then open the AppleScript dictionary for that Application. The chances are there isn't one.

This means that the programmers haven't added AppleScript functionality to that App...

You can still write an AppleScript to control it however...but you would need to use something called GUI AppleScripting.

Let me know if you want to take this further.
