Blank screen w/"folder?" on reboot. HELP!

Folder with question mark flashes. Spinning sound, too. Reboot started this. HELP, please! I am useless!! Many thanks.

Your Mac can't find a startup disc. Much, much more info needed please.

You could try booting holding the Option key and seeing if your startup disc shows up. Use the keyboard arrows to select it and press enter.
