Can anybody help with this issue!

Power mac G5 will not start up after memory upgrade.

I press the power button, hear 2 beeps and fans kick in at full speed, and the there is not further activity.

I have been reading threads on this, and i cannot restart because i am not using using a mac key board, just normal windows qweryty keyboard.

I have also tried to locate the reset button on the chipboard, but i cannot find it.

Power Mac G5, 1.8 single , running on os x leopard

Remove the memory you installed and re-boot your Mac. If it works, then you'll know the memory you installed is bad.

Thnaks Egidio for your posting.

I have solved the problem - it was that i had installed only one unit of the memory, were as the mac install memory by pairs! - so i put another unit to make it into a pair and it started working.

thanks any way
