Adding usb ports-please help

I was given a power mac g4 m8493 for recording purposes. It has 2 USB ports but I need 3 to make everything work and a hub is out of the question. The midi controller and the interface need their own dedicated USB ports. That means I can't use a keyboard. I could get a PCI card that has 4 USB ports but I'm not sure if that will work. Any thoughts anybody?
