    Trim

I have stated this as clearly as I can this will be my last communication with you as you clearly have some type of mental disorder. Anyone who goes through the regimen that you do on a weekly basis to maintain "A lean and clean machine" is a little wobbly, now it seems more like a lot. Now I...

You just made my point I haven't seen anything like that in reference to any other brand. I just wanted to be clear that the link was for OWC and not any other make. You might consider taking a deep breath it's not healthy getting your panties in a wad like that over pretty much a non-issue.

Because when I searched on enabling trim I entered my make and model and was directed to an OWC page see the link below. https://blog.macsales.com/21641-with-an-owc-ssd-theres-no-need-for-trim

Hmmm, I bought my OWC SSD about a year or more before you perhaps the info I posted is aimed at their newer drives.

The link I posted references OWC SSD's only I never meant to imply this was for everyone. But seeing as how the manufacturer/seller of my particular SSD advises not enabling Trim I'm good with that.

My SSD is an OWC Mercury Extreme so I just checked with them and this is what I found. https://blog.macsales.com/21641-with-an-owc-ssd-theres-no-need-for-trim

A while back I installed a 500 gig SSD in my Mac mini and was delighted at the increase in speed. Many suggested I enable trim on this drive so I tried a third party app without success. I know Apple computers with SSD's trim is enabled what is the risk with me enabling trim on my SSD? I write...

    MacBook Pro Issue

I did advise him to backup on line 2 and the reason for Time Machine is it's free and already installed on his computer. Clicking sounds are usually indicative of a failing hard drive which is why I asked if it was a spinner. SuperDuper is a great program and I used it to clone my High Sierra...

    MacBook Pro Issue

The clicking sound would make me nervous! Does this MBP have a spinner or regular hardrive? Due for a backup? Do it now while you still can. Have you tried Disk Utily and run first aid? You could also try Onyx avaiable here...........https://www.titanium-software.fr/en/onyx.html Give it a try...

Upgrading to Mojave, OS 10.14: Might Be Best To Wait

There was a Superduper upgrade when I finished and Onyx is on the way I don't have tech tool pro so no issue for me. This mac is my plaything so I cloned my original High Sierra drive and erased the drive and installed Mojave and then pulled all my info from Time Macchine. All in all a simple...

Upgrading to Mojave, OS 10.14: Might Be Best To Wait

Did all of that and so far no issues at all! Mojave is working well I haven't used all my apps but so far so good. I like the dark mode in my email and there are a few changes to finder and Safari. Did a fresh install time machine served me well as did SuperDuper

Suggestions re: purchasing an inexpensive, refurbished MAC?

Are you using an Apple magic mouse by any chance? If so try another mouse.
