I can't figure out why all of the Macs are showing up. I have 6 in total. Never had this issue before with maverick. I tried using the customizable side window only to find out that shared item are not editable. What's up???

Hi,

If these Macs are networked machines then they show under 'shared' in Finder sidebar.

Hello and welcome.

Try the following:

Restart or power cycle your router, then restart your iMac.

Let us know if that doesn't clear the duplicates.

I have the same problem. iMac shows up 4 times. Macbook Air shows up with new number next to it every time it starts up. since Yosemite upgrade.
