I am trying to copy old 8mm hi8 from my sony camcorder to my iMac all in one desktop. I have not been able to find the appropriate process or hardware/software to accomplish this. I then want to turn these old tapes into a dvd. Can anyone help

Hello and welcome.

Depending on what kind of budget you have, there are a few options to accomplish this. It will require the purchase of some hardware and possibly software. You could always leave it to a local video shop. They usually can do it for a reasonable fee.
